Lucy Lawless has a long and notable career as an actor and performer from New Zealand. She's most popularly recognized in her field for her illustrious roles on various top-billed television films and series, including Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: The Vengeance. As an actress she is most remembered and praised for the amazing role that she played as Xena. Lucy played the part that was originally planned to be played by Vanessa Angel. She was unfit to go to the filming due to illness. The success of her role in the role of Xena led to a spin-off show which was launched in the month of September, 1995. Lucy's fame as an actor rose after her casting as a character in the spinoff. The show saw added influence and popularity following its launch. Lucy is not just known to many as Xena but as well for her regular part in the role of Diane Lewis Swanson on NBCs popular show Parks and Recreation which she was a part of from 2012 to 2015.
