Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox was able to survive on the stipend of a student, and worked part-time to help supplement her income. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative direction she would take. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. The group didn't make it to the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. She was the main voice for The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and the year 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work for Diva in 1992, her debut solo album. The album was hugely successful both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself was released in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her first solo album, and is a sequel to an art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is an activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. After minor successes as a part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the pop duo Eurythmics in the 1980s.
